Beeswax Wrap Care Instructions

How to Activate Your Wraps

Beeswax wraps are activated using the warmth of your hands. Gently scrunch and manipulate the wrap until it becomes soft and pliable. As the beeswax warms, the wrap will develop a light tackiness that allows it to seal.

In cooler temperatures, spend a little extra time warming the wrap with your hands before use.

Using Your Wraps

Beeswax wraps are safe for use in the refrigerator and freezer. They work well for covering bowls, dishes, and food once contents have fully cooled.

Always allow hot or warm foods and bowls to cool completely before covering, as heat can soften the beeswax coating.

Washing Your Beeswax Wraps

Hand wash using cold water only with a mild soap. Gently clean both sides using a soft cloth or sponge and allow to air dry.

Never use hot or warm water, as heat will melt the beeswax coating. Do not place wraps in the dishwasher.

Proper Storage

Store wraps in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or heat sources. Wraps may be folded or gently rolled for storage. Avoid sharp creases to maintain the integrity of the beeswax coating.

What to Avoid

Beeswax wraps are not suitable for raw meat or raw eggs. Do not use in the microwave or oven. Avoid hot foods, heating vents, stoves, dishwashers, harsh detergents, or abrasive scrubbing.

Lifespan & End of Life

With proper care, beeswax wraps can be reused for one year or longer. When the wrap reaches the end of its life, it can be composted or used as a natural fire starter.

The natural antibacterial properties of beeswax help keep food fresh while supporting a reusable, eco-friendly lifestyle.
